Welcome to this learning activity that has a focus on the welfare state, both with focus on the European origin of welfare states, the Nordic model, and we will also compare this to the welfare in USA.

This learning activity is a "flipped classroom". That means that before joing class you are expected to have seen both of the learning activities, and have answered the individual questions that is prepared. When we meet in class, we will break up in smaller groups and discuss how ideological, political, organizational guidelines, decision-making processes important in the world’s prominent welfare states.

In what way can your profession contribute to the reduction of social and health inequalities?
And in which way are these services determined by your welfare system? Are there any differences compared to other welfare systems?
